Christmas in July - Challenge #7 Advent Calendar

Hello my crafty friends,

Happy Saturday! I hope everyone enjoys their weekend. Here's another challenge entry for the Christmas in July hop at Giselle's blog . We were to create a project inspired by one of the designers. It doesn't need to be just like one of them, but use one of their ideas & translate it to your own creativity.  I was inspired by Sarah . She made a advent calendar by using 25 thread spools which you could put them on your Christmas tree.

I cut out 25 doilies and de-stressed them with green color box ink. I also stamp them with some snowflake stamp with red ink and stamp the numbers in the middle. I used an acorn to place my doilies on. At first I was thinking of putting some ribbon to hang them on the Christmas tree but then decided to add my twist to it. I hope you guys like and I hope this will inspire you to create something for Christmas.

I also added glitter on the tips. I wanted to make it look like snow lol

Christmas in July - Challenge #5 and Challenge #6

Hello my Crafty friends,

Yay finally the weekend is here. I hope everyone has a great weekend. I plan to relax over the weekend. I had a busy week. We went to Sea World on Wednesday and that was so much fun. It was my first time being there. Today I made some time to create some projects for the Christmas in July for Giselles hop . Here they are I hope you guys like.

Challenge #5:
Theme: Create a holiday gift of your choice using paper to decorate and using non traditional colors. Avoid red and green.

I made a snowman out of a clothes pin. I colored it with white paint and I drew the face in with markers. I cut the hat and the scarf at 2 1/2 in. I added a piece of magnet on the back so that we could put on the frig. I think that make a cut gift right? Im sure they could use it to hold a pic on hte frig.

Challenge #6
Theme:  Wrap it and Tag it!
Create a holiday tag that has a 3D element on it. The element could be anything your could think of.

I created a blue tag that was cut at 3 1/2
The To and From was cut out at 1 in.
Snowflake was cut out:
1st layer 21/2
2nd layer 21/4
3rd layer 2 in
added a jewel in the middle.
The snowflake is my 3D element.

Yay its friday!! I hope everyone has a great weekend. Heres another challenge entry for Giselle's hop .

So heres my holiday planner. I added a pocket for my receipts and made two sections: one for section for my wish list and the second one for the christmas cards list. I hope you guys like my planner.

I used the Winter Woodland for the tags
Green tag: 2 1/2
Red tag: 2 in
Flower fabric, red ribbon, white ribbon

I used white fabric to make the receipt pocket and red ribbon

First section is the wish list.

Second section is the Christmas cards list. I stamped the snow flakes and used embossing powder.
